About the Publication
The Job Search Journal is a comprehensive publication designed to provide the placement directors at the 65 participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities with a teaching guide that contains articles written to help steer the students through their Job Search. Information such as how to research companies, attend career fairs, how to dress and conduct yourself in an interview, and how to write a resume and cover letter are included along with visual guides and examples.
The Journals are distributed through the Career Planning and Placement Offices at each of the participating Historically Black Colleges and Universities through workshops, seminars, job fairs and individual career counseling sessions. The Journal can also be ordered through this website.
The Journal is complimented with recruitment messages from companies and organizations interested in receiving responses from the students throughout the school year. The companies and organizations that participate in the Job Search Journal can use the space to introduce their company to the student and provide contact information for the student to apply for job opportunities. There are spaces available to fit in every budget.
